EducatedLatina.com is a digital platform, that reflects a Latina’s experience as a multicultural, multidimensional, modern, college student. We aim to inspire, inform and empower an Educated Latina’s (aka EDLs) college journey through multimedia content, community, live & digital events. We continuously explore and celebrate the essence of what it means to be an Educated Latina.

We assembled a passionate team of content creators who help cultivate our Tribe and advance our mission. We are looking to add new members full of fresh ideas, high energy, and passion for the Latinx community to our Team that will help us continue to grow. Will you join us?

As an EDL Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop your skills, interests, and build your portfolio.
  • Pitch ideas and see your work come to life.
  • Get relevant work experience that will set you up and apart in your career goals in the Real World.
  • Work in a start-up environment, collaborate directly with the Educated Latina Team, including the CEO.
  • Receive letters of recommendations for future employment and/or programs.

**Internships are available to current college students year-round on a full-time or part-time basis both in our Los Angeles office and remotely (unless otherwise specified). Internships are unpaid and are offered for school credit. Start/end dates and hours are flexible. **

Graphic Design Intern

Job Description

The Graphic Design Intern will be in charge of designing digital & print graphics across a variety of platforms. You will see your designs come to life on EducatedLatina.com, our social media platforms, newsletters, merchandise, and more. This internship is a great opportunity to develop your graphic design skills while you building your design portfolio and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

  • Current college undergraduates
  • Resourceful, innovative, and creative  paired with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign),  Microsoft Office, and Canva
  • A unique and detail-oriented eye for design
  • Interest in design, brand development and management, marketing, art direction, and creative growth
  • Reliable, dependable and able to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to effectively work both independently and in a team environment.

Video Production Intern

Job Description

The Video Production Intern will work with the Creative Director to create video content for Educated Latina’s YouTube channel and website. You will assist with the execution of video production projects,  assist with the preparation and delivery of video assets,  coordinate and assist on video shoots, edit videos with direction from the Educated Latina team, pitch and produce your own ideas. We are looking for someone is excited to work in a startup environment, build their portfolio and grow their shooting, producing, editing, and storytelling skills.

Qualifications

  • Current college undergraduates
  • Creative and resourceful paired with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Interest in video production, editing, producing, storytelling through video content
  • Reliable, dependable and able to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to effectively work both independently and in a team environment
  • Available to work at Educated Latina’s Office and on location
  • Access to a  PC/Laptop and internet equipped with video editing software

Social Media/Marketing Intern

Job Description

The Social Media Intern will work directly with Ariana Allen, Founder, & CEO on engaging our audience, writing social copy, scheduling posts, tracking engagement, social media strategy and keeping up with viral trends. You will have a chance to collaborate with all departments especially during our monthly meetings.

Qualifications

  • Current college undergraduates
  • Familiarity with online media and social platforms- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat
  • Strong and creative writing and communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Interest in social media, digital marketing, and brand development
